Fleas & Ticks

Flea Tick Control Hero Pest Solutions

Fleas and ticks are very common in South Florida. Our climate rarely gets cold enough for these pests to die out, allowing them to survive year-round. They live naturally in our sand, grass, wooded areas, and shrubs, and they feed on natural wildlife like rats, raccoons, squirrels, and even birds!

Fleas and ticks are parasites and feed on blood. They prefer to live and breed on their host but can live outside of their host as well.

The most common hosts for both of these pests are our pets. Ticks can burrow into their skin and fleas can hide beneath their fur, making it difficult for our pets to remove these pests on their own.

Fleas and ticks hurt our pets. They cause itchiness, swelling, and scabbing, and can even cause allergic reactions, fur loss, lethargy, and even death. They literally suck them dry, causing a painful life for our furry friends.
